Secret Pal 10 is over. My final parcel has been sent (but, as far as I can tell, not yet received — no need to worry just yet though), and my final parcel has (after far too much hassle than is strictly fair — but the fault only of the people who own the building I used to live in) been received.
At the moment I only have internet access at work, so pictures aren’t an option — I’ll get some up as soon as I can, though! However, my parcel contained some “tea temples” (better than teabags, I imagine!), some Green and Black’s mint chocolate (one of my favourites!) and five skeins of Artesano Alpaca Opulencia! How my secret pal stretched the budget so far, I really don’t know, but wow am I impressed! I get the feeling that s/he (and I still don’t know who s/he is, if you’re reading this and would like to reveal yourself, I’d be interested to know!) really managed to ‘get’ me. Both parcels were absolutely unquestionably “me” and there was nothing that didn’t make me go “Ooooh!”. I’m not sure whether I managed the same for the woman I was sending things too, but I certainly hope so!
So, this has been my first Secret Pal. Would I do it again? I’m not sure. I loved getting parcels, and putting together parcels, but I can’t help thinking it would have been more fun if it had been a bit less secret. If we had been able to email eachother a bit more openly, and to get to know eachother in a more meaningful way (of course, this might follow after identity revelations, but you can’t count on it!). I also found the administrative side: this many posts a month, x being on knitting and the separate email address (which caused real problems for me in terms of emails not being received at all or quickly enough, of emails going into spam filters etc), and things like that a bit of a faff, really. Still, overall, it was a good experience, and I am glad to have done it once! I might even do it again, some day.
So, a very very very big thank you to my Secret Pal, who has sent me such lovely things! I hope you will let me know who you are! And also to those who sorted it all out, and must have watched so much time disappear down the pan for this!

Oh, hurrah! I’m so glad you got it at last. Since the package was already so late, I did not stop to put a reveal card in it, so hello! Here I am.
It was a pleasure shopping for you, and I have mad sale shopping skillz that allowed me to get that yarn and still stay roughly within the budget. I remembered you writing that you wanted to do a bigger project and, although this likely won’t allow you a jumper (unless you are very, very small), I figured that a few extra skeins would give you some more flexibility in projects. Have fun with it!
