I have spent this morning unknitting the knitting I did yesterday. Not all of it, thankfully, but enough to be somewhat discouraging! Yesterday, knitting in a Bavarian Beer Hut I made a discovery, which should have been obvious:
Knitting and gluehwein do not mix. It’s nothing major, only that I repeated a row twice, rather than moving onto the next, leading to a very odd and not particularly desirable effect in the Christmas socks I’m knitting my Dad. So, I have probably lost about half of the work I did yesterday.
The upside is that I met a lot of other knitters yesterday, and they were all very nice.

What the Germans are back in the Town Hall square annoying Albert are they?
The smell at 9am was always enough for me to give the whole German Markets a wide berth!
I will be back in Manchester this week for a job interview in a book shop on Deansgate. Hope I get it, 18 months of being a lady of leisure after the degree is waning a little.
